November the third organizers of the folklore festival Baltica-2003 was on a visit to Ribeni village in Preili district.
      10 collectives participated in the review: folklore groups of Turki parish, Leiči, Ceiruleits, Vydsmuiža, Naktineica, Vecvārkava, Jumaleņa, Madarenis, Olūteņš, Dzeipurs.
      The jury considered that this time Preili district's groups have deserved a praise. The measure was carried out in Latgalian language, was felt vitality and cordiality. But the most important thing was, that the groups have showed a good artistic quality.
      Some groups showed performance on the subject of joint work. The spectators have felt an atmosphere of joint work with the characteristic sound. Is felt, that the ensembles care of preservation of the traditional manner of singing. The folk costumes correspond to the local traditions too (with rare exceptions).
